Memory Foam Mattresses

Memory foam mattresses offer great support by contouring to your body while reducing pressure points. They readjust automatically when you change sleep positions. They also do an excellent job of reducing motion transfer across the mattress, so you won't feel your sleep partner moving around.

What size sizes do memory foam mattresses come in?

Available in most sizes including King, Cal King, Queen, Full, Twin XL, and Twin size.

How do I know if a memory foam mattress is high quality?

The density of memory foam is one significant factor in the quality of the foam. The higher the density, the more material per cubic inch, and typically the longer it will last with less wear and tear. Foam density is usually measured in pounds per cubic foot.  Lower quality foams are usually under 3lbs and higher quality foams are usually above 5lb with 3-5lb density being mid grade.

What is inside a memory foam mattress?

All memory foam mattresses are layered with a base foam, support foam, and comfort foam. The overall comfort of the bed and how well it supports the body depends greatly on the quality and density of the foam. It can vary greatly depending on how much memory foam vs. polyeurethane foam there is, and how the mattress is layered. If a mattress is 90% base foam and only 10% comfort foam, then it won't be as supportive and may wear out quicker. Usually a high quality foam mattress will be 40% - 60% base foam and 60% - 40% comfort foam.  For example, a 6-inch base foam, 2-inch support foam, and 2-inch comfort foam for a 10-inch mattress is pretty common.

At Quality Sleep we select only the highest quality memory foam mattresses from major brands that have been tested and proven to last. If you choose a cheaper option, it is likely you will replace it sooner and end up paying more in the long run. Not too mention the lost time of putting up with a quickly degrading product.  You get what you pay for, and that saying is definitely true with memory foam mattresses.
